Kristal Jackson

Community School Coordinator/Administrative Intern and 3-5th grade Co-Teacher

I am happy to introduce myself as the new Community School Coordinator and Administrative Intern for Willow Creek School District. My name is Kristal Jackson and I am bringing with me 15 years of experience as a Special Education Teacher, Juvenile Probation Officer, and a Child Welfare Worker. I have worked with students who had specific learning disabilities, a variety of emotional and social disorders, and various behavioral disorders. I am also a credentialed victim advocate and have helped many people over the years who are survivors of trauma and different types of abuse. I have my bachelors degree in criminal justice and my masters degree in victim services management. I am certified to teach special education, physical education, english as a second language, and core subjects; early childhood to 6th grade.

As the Community School Coordinator at Willow Creek School, I will be playing a key role in creating and sustaining school-community partnerships to develop the academic, social, emotional, physical and civic competencies of their students, and to strengthen their families and community. I will have an open ear on any community events you may be aware of and I am willing to discuss ways to develop relationships between our parents, students, and staff in order to create a network of community resources that benefit all of us as a Willow Creek Family. I am looking forward to working with each of you and your students this year. Please feel free to stop by the office, so I can meet you personally and discuss any ideas you may have on making this a great school year.
